The most famous actions of the USS Constitution came in the 1812 war against Britain, when the
ship hijacked a large number of British merchant ships and defeated five British warships.
This naval battle gave the ship the nickname "Old Ironsides", because the English cannons couln't pierch
the ship's hull, made of oak with a maximum thickness of 65 centimeters.
